My experience of visiting Amritsar
Amritsar is the mega city of Punjab state. It is located in the north direction of the India. Amritsar is connected with wagha border of India. It is twenty five kilometers away from Amritsar. The wagha border connects Pakistan country and BSF(Border Security Force) is giving their duty to secure the border of India. Everyday morning, Indian soldiers give salute the flag and at evening they take down the flag with honor and flag march. Pakistani soldiers do same this. Both country’s soldiers do together this march.
I started my journey on 16th November 2007 at the time of Diwali vacation. We were five members. We went by the train and took twenty five hours to reach at Amritsar. My purpose was to go there for also listening “Ramkatha”. I stayed seven days in Amritsar. The Ramkatha is narrated by Shri Morari Bapu who is very famous saint in the world. The program was organized by Shivala Bhaiyan Trust committee. They are also the trusty of Shivala temple. The temple of the God Shiva comes in the Hindu religion first God. The Hindu call them “Mahakal”
In Ramkatha, there was totally spiritual atmosphere. Morari Bapu gives the thinking of ‘Ramcharit Manas’ written by Shri Goswami Tulsidas Maharaj. The Ramkatha is not a myth but it is real fact. Thousand of people coming to listen “Ramkatha” and received the peace in their life. I have also experienced the peace and truth of life.
In Amritsar, I visited many places like- Golden temple, Jaliyawala baug, Durgana temple and Wagha border. In Golden temple, the Shikh people come to worship their Guru Nanak Dev’s sacred book ‘Guru Granth Saheb’. They have come to bow down the head to Guru Granth. In Jaliyawala baug, there were killed two thousand people. The Indians call it “Jaliyawala mass killing”. At thet time the Britishers were ruled over India and General Dyer of British Army opened fire there on unarmed people in 13th April,1919. Many of the people were jumped in the well of Jaliyawala baug account of the fear. There were many martyr like- Udham Singh, Dr. Saifuddin Kichlu, Dr. Satyapal, Madanlal Dhingara, Mahashay Ratna Chand and Chaudhary Bagga Mal and Ratan Devi.
My experience of wagha border was wonderful. It will remember me life time. Many visitors come to see the evening flag march of Indian’s and Pakistan’s soldiers. It is very interesting to see the flag march of wagha border. Many foreign and Indian visitors come to see the wagha border of India.
My sweat memory of Amritsar is king of the fruit an apple. I ate an apple everyday. In Amritsar, an apple is the cheapest fruit.
I came back on November to my home, Vadodara-the mega city of Gujarat state and started to live a routine life.
